The historical military museum "Alpi Giulie" in Cave del Predil, near Tarvisio, showcases findings and documents on the war events that most affected the lay of the land, from Napoleon’s campaigns to World War II. The main hall exhibits the geography and topology of the area along with the locations of military artefacts.
Next is the district of Raibl room, which documents the society and urban layout of the past. The room of Austro-Napoleonic wars displays historical objects, weapons and reproductions of military campaign uniforms from that period.
The World War I and II rooms deal with the periods when power was transferred from the Habsburg monarchy to Italy until the Allied occupation of 1945.
