Ethnographic museum of Cesiomaggiore

Arte, cultura e storia Valbelluna

The Museum springs out in the ancient countryside's manor, which belonged to the Earls of Azzoni Avogrado in Serravella,in a magnificient and panoramic position at the foot of the National Park of Belluno's Dolomites.
The Museum is developed in anthropological paths (emigration, body-care, wet nurse, relation between animals and human being) that try to recreate situations from the past.
Inaugurated in 1997, it stems from a scientific project and study concerning the popular culture in the Province of Belluno.
It is very important as it conducts activities of cataloguing, research and publications. There is also an audio-photographic archive and a library specialized in popular culture.
