Consorzio del Tarvisiano - Go to Nature

“Alm-Lehrpfad” (Alm nature trail) / Fauna-Flora-Round

Vacanza Attiva Estate Pongau

This educational trail is based on the research projects and results of the alpine research station "Sameralm". It was established in this alpine region in 1973 as a branch of the Institute of Geography of the University of Salzburg in order to promote research into the human influence on the alpine ecosystem and to present this topic to students in the field.
The alpine pasture nature trail consists of 15 stations and takes a total of 6-7 hours of hiking - "Große Almrunde" with its starting point in the Wengerau - to complete. However, you can also choose the "Kleine Almrunde" with a starting point in the Zaglau and a walking time of 3-4 hours or even shorter variants of the trail of approx. 2 hours.
This hiking area can also be reached by gondola, as the Werfenweng cable cars also operate in summer.
