Meditation and Peace Path to the Hochgründeck in Hüttau

This theme trail in Hüttau, with its starting point at the “Klammalm”, comprises 12 stations that can be experienced in turns during an approx. 1.5-hour hike. At these stations the wanderers are taught wisdom from different cultures. This trail was designed by the innkeeper of the “Heinrich-Kiener-Haus” on Hochgründeck, Hermann Hinterhölzl. The destination of this tour is the summit of the approx. 1,827 m high Hochgründeck, which is one of the most beautiful panoramic mountains in Austria. At the west summit stands the “St. Vinzenz Friedenskirche” (peace church), which was built in wood by the landlord himself and is symbolically decorated (number 12). It is also a stop on the St. Rupert pilgrims' path, which leads 110 km from St. Gilgen am Wolfgangsee in the Salzkammergut via Flachgau and Tennengau to Pongau and Bischofshofen.
