The CAAR Alpe Adria Radwegg Bike Path project is an example of cross-border cooperation for the development of sustainable mobility arising from the common will of three regions (Friuli Venezia Giulia, Salzburg and Carinthia) to identify a cross-border bike path connecting Salzburg with Villacco, Udine, Aquileia and Grado, thus overcoming the physical boundary of the Alps and connecting the central European bike path network with the Adriatic sea.
