The Nordic walking has its origins in Finland: since the early '30s cross-country skiing athletes used sticks in their summer training.
In the early '80s a new idea was born of developing and transforming this way of training into a sport for everyone, practicable in any season and everywhere.
Through alternating moving of opposite arms and legs, this activity involves a large part of body muscles, making this sport (which can be done by everyone) a very strong and effectiveness aerobic training activity.
