Ancient Fair of St. Matthew and of Feltre's walnut

Taste, crafts and traditions come to life in the Ancient Fair of St. Matthew in Feltre. A one day festival created to celebrate one of the typical products of this territory as the walnut but during the years this event has managed to involve even the entire historical center of the town, with many appointments and events. In addition to stands where craftsmen will exhibit and give demonstration of their skills, there will also be food stands where you can enjoy this kind of walnut in different menus and other typical products of Belluno.
During the festival you can taste the three different types of this particular kind of walnut:
"Feltrina", "Comune" and "Cocona". Main feature of the walnut is its round "egg" shape, with a particularly thin shell and a kernel really delicious. In addition to the direct consumption of the fruit, interesting is its use for cooking sauces and main dishes and in bakery with delicious cakes, ice cream or caramel with nuts, all dishes that you can try during this event.
