The Julian Prealps Regional Natural Park covers a little over 100 km². Three different biogeographic areas, Mediterranean, Illyrian and Alpine, concur in making this a unique place with extraordinary biodiversity of great geological, naturalistic and landscape interest, also including history and culture.
The Trail for Everyone is located near the Information Centre of Pian dei Ciclamini in Lusevera; it is about 600 meters long and features wheel stoppers, guiding ropes and low inclines that make it usable by wheelchairs. There also park information signs for the visually challenged.
In 2013, the Julian Prealps Natural Park received an important recognition from the EU as part of the EDEN (European Destination of ExcelleNce) project to promote development models of sustainable and accessible tourism that will encourage tourism for everyone.
