Nordio and Deffar Bros. Refuge

This refuge reopened on 15 June 2018; you can reach it by car on paved road from Ugovizza (Malborghetto-Valbruna) as far as the car park near the old refuge, where the rivers Pleccia and Uque meet, then on foot for about 45 minutes on an easy forest road (CAI 507 signpost). Located in the upper Val Uque, 10 minutes away from Sella di Lom, it is a support point for the Carnic Crossing (Traversata Carnica). This part of the Carnic Alps features grassy peaks such as the Osternig, Sagran, Starhand and Acomizza which can all be easily reached from the refuge.
